Assuming the much-hated Offer-Sheet won't be deployed by a team, like my beloved Flyers, I'd try and trade for him. Obviously I have a massive bias being the Flyers and trying to find that quintessential top D-man, so I'd offer something like this:


To St. Louis: Brayden Schenn, Nick Cousins, Braydon Coburn, and a 1st round in 2014, and a 2nd in 2015


To Philadelphia: Alex Pietrangelo

They can afford it. cap wise. Depends if their owners are willing to spend.

Not sure, but just to be on the safe side, they should send him to the Oilers in exchange for N. Schultz and Omark. The Blues can add a few draft picks to even it up a little.

It is an aggressive package, if St Louis is in a position that they can not afford to sign him and have tried every thing they possibly can as a franchise, I think its a pretty fair offer for him. They might want one of your top d prospects instead of cousins though.

lol! Yeah, I think he is the Weber of this summer, and St. Louis will do virtually everything to match any offer. The only way I can see St. Louis not matching is if the deal reached into the $8+ million zone, and long-term.

Yeah, good call. I just wanted to throw something out there that wouldn't be considered a low-blow, just something to get hypothetical talks going lol. Realistically, he's 99.99999% a Blue for the foreseeable future.

Be aware!!! According to Omark himself he's on his way back to the NHL. It's only a matter of days he says.
Refuses to say what team that has contacted Edmonton.
